This is an extremely valuable conference for young women, their parents, and their leaders.
Mark it on your calendar!
You can attend the meeting in the LDS Conference Center (phone 801 240-0075 for ticket availability and be sure to let them know if you live outside of Utah) or you can watch it at home, if available, or at district or stake centers. You will hear inspired counsel specifically for young women from a member of the first presidency as well as the entire general young women presidency.
The text, audio, and video from past meetings is a valuable resource for leaders. However, it's a little challenging to find on lds.org (for now).
Where do I find the General Young Woman Meeting online?
Go to lds.org, click on "Menu" - "Study" - "General Conference". When that page opens look at the left sidebar and click "Conferences". The General Young Women Meeting has been part of April General Conference starting in 1994. So click on any April Conference 1994 or later, scroll to the bottom (through the Saturday and Sunday sessions) and you will find the General Young Women Meeting talks. Talks from 2006 forward are available to watch, listen, or download in three formats - text, audio and video. Before 2006 they are available to read online.
Here it is!
Music
Here's a fun little tip. The General Young Women Meeting music is very special. A choir of young women prepares musically and spiritually to sing hymns chosen by inspiration for that conference. You can listen to and download that music.
Here's how: at the top of the General Conference page for each conference that offers streaming and downloading are two toggle buttons - "Show Music" and "Show Feeds". Clicking on "Show Music" opens up all the music within each session. You can listen or download. Clicking again (this time it says "Hide Music") removes the music.
The buttons - to the right of "Entire Conference"
Just think what this music could add to Sunday classes or activities! These hymns would be wonderful choices for young women to perform in special activities and sacrament meetings.
Here's one more tip: the sheet music is available to download as pdf files for some of the 2010 General Young Women Meeting musical arrangements. It's almost impossible to find (temporarily) because of the gradual transition to the new lds.org. But I searched and found it!
Sheet music from the General Young Women Meeting is available to download here.
You will find:
- "Be Strong" (2 versions)
- "Dearest Children, God is Near You"
- "High on a Mountain Top"
- "How Firm a Foundation"
- "O Thou Rock of Our Salvation"
- "If the Savior Stood Beside Me (from 2007)"
Video Clips
On last tip: the earlier version of youth.lds.org had a General Young Women Meeting page with links to videos and excerpts from the talks. I can't find it on the current site, but I'm sure it will be there soon - so here's a link to the old site.

Sheet music from 2010 General Young Women Meeting
Our stake is planning on having a Women's Choir sing "High On The Mountain Top" arr. by Webb which was performed in the 2010 General Young Women's Meeting. I was able to get the sheet music from freeldssheetmusic.org but noticed after downloading that the accompaniment is for "piano". Is there any way I could get a copy of the organ part that was performed in this conference?
